Co-dependency was originally used in reference to interpersonal
relationships in families of alcoholics. Over time, the concept of co-dependency has expanded into a definition which describes a dysfunctional pattern of living and problem solving that developed during childhood and is maintained in adulthood. |

Communication skills are needed in all social interactions. While most people conscientiously focus or verbal communication, we forget how
much we intentionally or unintentionally communicate through non-verbal signals. |

Marriage and loved ones issues recognizes that relating to another person on an intimate psychological or physical level can be difficult. If you
are having ongoing problems in any of your relationships, help is available. Whether you are having problems with your spouse, immediate family, significant other, lover, or children, the earlier you seek help the better since earlier intervention can
help insure that the problems get better and do not get worse. |

Separation and divorce recognizes that regardless of the cause, a failing or failed marriage typically generates intense emotions. Emotions including depression, sadness,
anger, hurt, anxiety, fear, loneliness, and lowered self-confidence are all common. How you deal with a separation or divorce is very important because of the effect
it will have on the rest of your life as well as the lives of your spouse and children. |

Parenting problems are an ever growing issues as life becomes more complicated and diverse. There are no books or proven methods that will
tell you how to be a perfect parent. And
even if you could be the perfect parent, you can still expect to have problems at times with your child and adolescent. Parent/child relationships can be very complicated and you may need some help as your children grow, mature, and begin exercising
their independence. |
